LSEA’s Lift the Ban - Lend a Hand
Lift the Ban: To do community & political education on the need to lift the ban on rent control in the State of Illinois and how the ongoing ban impacts affordable housing (or lack thereof) here in Logan Square.
Lend a Hand: To fundraise from December 1st through Christmas to raise money for some of families here in Logan Square to be able to have rent support for the month of January.

For Logan Square Ecumenical Alliance’s 8th Annual Las Posadas, we will gather virtually as we continue to honor the story of the holy family & fight for housing justice for all of our holy families in Chicago. Our theme is: Lift the Ban & Lend a Hand!
This year we will do community education around the need to Lift the Ban on rent control in the State of Illinois, and share what actions you can take! And, we invite you to Lend a Hand by donating to community fundraiser to provide money to our neighbors who are struggling to meet rent/mortgage due to ongoing impact of the pandemic on our Black & Brown neighbors.

Para nuestra octava edición anual de Las Posadas, nos reuniremos virtualmente mientras que continuamos honrando la historia de la sagrada familia y luchando por la justicia de vivienda para todas nuestras sagradas familias en Chicago. Nuestro tema es: ¡Levanta la prohibición y extiende la mano!
Este año impartiremos educación comunitaria sobre la necesidad de Levantar la prohibición del control de rentas en el Estado de Illinois, ¡y compartiremos las acciones que puede tomar! Y lo invitamos a extiende una mano donando a la recaudación de fondos de la comunidad para proporcionar dinero a nuestros vecinos que luchan por pagar el alquiler / hipoteca debido al impacto continuo de la pandemia en nuestros vecinos Afro-Americanos y Latinos.
