Member Action Council
Palenque LSNA convenes the Member Action Council (MAC)to build power with local organizations by aligning their missions to drive systemic change. We bridge individual efforts and collective impact by co-creating organizing campaigns and overseeing the community’s Holistic Plan.
Core Values
At Palenque LSNA, we are guided by these core values and our ideal members would also uphold them:
Centering Liberation & Solidarity: Centering Black, Brown, Indigenous, immigrant, women and queer lives and leadership. We know that the only way to fight authoritarianism is by building a wider coalition of people focused on connecting our struggles for liberation.
Collective Action: Collaborating across divisions toward a liberated future.
As a member of regional power building coalitions, Palenque’s MAC connects local policy priorities and actions with broader multi-racial, multi-issue movements for social and economic justice.
Reclaiming Power: Our histories, emboldened by a shared vision for decolonial power-building. We honor ancestral knowledge and aim to build power with community members that shifts power away from billionaires and corporations and towards Palenque Power, that is power for the people and by the people.
Sacred Healing: Holding sacred, safe space for growth and healing.
We cultivate spaces that nurture reflection, transformation, and collective well-being.
